摘要

A new hybridtechnique for designing shielded electromagnetic coils for Nuclear Magnetic Resonance applications is presented. By combining the target field approach with the finite element analysis, a shielded electromagnetic coil structure with optimum inductance was generated, while its shielding current is confined within finite boundaries. Numerical results indicate that with the hybrid technique, a significant reduction to the coil's total fringe field was achieved.
