摘要

The influence of microstructure on the bendability of Al-Mg-Si alloys has been studied. A large number of precipitates on the grain boundaries tend to decrease the bendability of the alloys by promoting the initiation and propagation of the cracks at the grain boundaries during bending. The bendability was explained as a function of precipitate distribution on the grain boundaries and yield strength. The effect of alloy composition on the bendability was also discussed.
