Nordic Trials of Adjuvant Therapy in Primary Breast Cancer

The Scandinavian (Nordic) countries are Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, with a combined total population of approximately 23 millions and an annual number of new breast cancer patients of approximately 12000. The health care systems are very similar in the Scandinavian countries and virtually all cancer patient care occurs within the framework of the public health care system.
