A new restricted-freedom element model is proposed which is to avoid the disadvantage of the absence of the transverse shear strains in membrane elements, the failure when large local rotation occurred in shell elements, and the ill-conditioned equations while using three-dimensional solid elements. The validity is examined by compare the theoretically calculated results with the experimental results and the benchmark test results.
