Knee joint is the most critical part of above-knee prosthesis. For many years, single joint and four-bar linkage have been used in the traditional knee prostheses. However, due to the limitation of the mechanisms, these kinds of knee prostheses can not meet the requirements, such as the track of the ankle joint which prevents the foot from knocking the ground, the motion of the shank is not close to normal gait pattern. In contrast with these mechanisms, six-bar linkages have got more and more attention in the past years.
