The Ultimate Products of the Brain/Mind Machine: Wishful Understanding toward the World

摘要

Based on psychological findings from natural language text/film understanding experiments, an ultimate goal of the human cognitive processes is proposed: wishful understanding. A computational model to implement the wish generation process is also proposed. Its implication to literary computing and aesthetic computing is discussed.
