Environmental problems caused by bituminous schist and possible solutions

Schist, as a disposal of mine, has harmful effectson environment However, several mariners can be utilized toprevent the environmental destruction as well as an economicalbenefit is gamed. In this study, environmental problems causedby bituminous schist and other disposals have been investigatedon a specific lignite coal mine where schist is disposed as wastematerial. Pollution and damage on land and in water sourcesaround the coal district and the villages have been observed,recorded and several solutions to environmental problems havebeen proposed. Discussed proposals will not only solve theenvironmental pollution problem but also provide wastemanagement facility. Industrial structure of the district enablessuch a disposal to be used as an economical raw material.Besides, general effects of the coal mine and the power plantnearby have been discussed from environmental point of view, too.
