Iron ore pelletizing at GIIC and the environment - Practices and improvements

with ever increasing demand for mineral rawmaterials and cleaner environment, production companies do notonly have to discover how to produce more efficiently, but alsohow to curb associated pollution more effectively. In thiscontext, the present paper describes the developments in the dustcontrol practices at the pelletizing plant of Gulf IndustrialInvestment Company (GIIC), Bahrain. Emphasis is placed onthe effects of process improvements to increase the productionlevel with minimum dust emission and on minimizing theadverse effects of dust still to be generated.
