A novel scheme to generate tunable dual-wavelength pulses by harmonic and rational-harmonic mode-locking of a 1.5-#mu#m semiconductor laser is proposed. The pulses have a width of 30ps, a spectral separation of 0.9 nm, and a tuning range of 65nm.
