The idea and method are proposed for evaluating the material damage, loading history and the remaining life based on the strain range partitioning concept in such cases a PP.PC. CP and CC type creep-fatigue loading. Besides the material parameters descring the nwe creep-fatigue damage rule previously proposed by th authour, the preesented method needs only informatin about the crack growth behavior and the ratio of the partitioned inelastic strain range to the total inelastic strain range for the remaining life estimation. The exact value fo the total inelastic strain range is not necessarily needed and it can be determined on the extimation process. The material damage, the applied inelastic strain range and the remaining life were evaluated for Mod. 9Cr-1Mo and 316LC steel smooth specimens subjected to the IJ type creep-fatigue loading. As the results, the creep-fatigue damage rule is modified to ore general form to be used. In such a case that the crack initiation life can not be neglected compared with the total life.
