Proof of the conjecture on 'eternal' positive solutions, for a model of the boltzmann equation

According to a classical conjecture, the only positive "eternal" solutions of the Boltzmann equation are the maxwellian solutions. We prove this conjecture in the case of a related equation, which is a semicontinuous model of the two-dimensional homogeneous Boltzmann equation.
