摘要

In this paper,a semi-analytical solution of stagnation flow is obtained by a newly developed method,namely the fixed point method (FPM),which is based on the Banach fixed point theorem in functional analysis.The present semi-analytical solution is uniformly valid in the whole region without using matching procedure,which is different from the existing perturbation solutions.Moreover,the asymptotic property of stagnation flow is automatically and correctly predicted by the present result.The comparison between the present and numerical result is carried out,which reveals that FPM is an accurate and convenient method for nonlinear problems,and therefore could be applied to handle other flows.
