Simulation study of blast furnace lining erosion detectin using multieiectrode capcitance sensore is described.The primary sensor has bene modelled using 3D finite element method.Simulation results show that both the erosion degree of the furnace lining and its position are detectable,so study suggests that a novel method based on capacitane measurements might be abl3e to provide a means of robust,non-intrusive monitoring of the furnace lining erosion state in a blast furnace.
