Modelling of Lysine Recovery in an Ion-Exchange Process

Based on the determination of the selectivity coefficients and dynamic behavior for both mono- and divalent forms of lysine in the ion exchnage process, computer simulation of lysine recovery in the ion exchange process were carried out after a compartmental model in the ion exchange column was developed and applied to the whole process. It is found that the simulation values are in accordance with experimental data.
