FIVE IMPORTANT TRIBOLOGY-BASED TRENDS IN RELIABILITY AND CONDITION MONITORING IN NORTH AMERICA

The field of tribology is a central force behind several significant trends in reliability and condition-based maintenance in North American. Many of these trends have also risen to prominence in other regions of the world, offering validation of their importance. Some of these trends first emerged in foreign lands but were nurtured to common practice after migrating to North America. No doubt most of these trends will be recognized as reincarnated concepts from the past, perhaps first appearing years, if not decades ahead of general industry-readiness.
