Prediction of effective Young's modulus of steel cord under compression

摘要

A theory is developed to predict the effective Young's modulus of steel cords under compression. The predictions agree with the published experimental results. The effect of wrap filament on the effective Young's modulus of steel cord under compression is also discussed.
