The challenge of Globalisation

Nowadays, wherever you turn, everyone suddenly seems to be talking about globalisation. For the Club of rome, the topics is hardly new-we have been talking about it, and trying to interest others in it, for almost thirty years, indeed, one of the main reasons that the club was founded in the late 1960s was because aurelio peccei and alexander king were aware of the complex, global interconnections between many fo the problems that were then usually perceived as notional. This tangle of issues, which they called"the world problematique", posed predicaments beyond the capacity of individual countries, let alone separate departements or interest groups, to solve. Instead, the problems needed to be studied and grappled with holistically and over the long term.
