Employee training during probation is essential for safe working conditions and can insure your facility stays in compliance with regulations. The costs incurred by employers, when sending their employees to formal operator certification programs, is generally reserved until after they have successfully completed their probationary period. It is this period of time, from day 1 to 6 months, that the employers should initiate an internal training program that has well defined goals and objectives. This presentation will focus on the internal training program developed by the City of Denton Landfill Staff.
