Basin modelling and petroleum system research by gravity, magnetics and electrical information, as well as outcrops data, are known for the first time all over the world. The basin modelling system, applied to the early petroleum exploration stage, is established and input parameters and sensitivity analysis are discussed in this paper. Tanggemu Depression, Gonghe Basin is used as an example to illustrate the use of this modelling system. As the modelling results show, the largest part of the third MT layer in the Tanggemu Depression has penetrated the petroleum-generation threshold. The generation-migration-accumulation of the most petroleum is in the Neogene. The critical moment is 1.64 Ma. Qieji Sag is the petroleum prospective area of the Tanggemu Depression,Gonghe Basin, which is both the depocenter and the center of petroleum generation and expulsion. Qieji-Jiudaoban structural zone is the best petroleum exploration target of the Tanggemu Depression,Gonghe Basin.
