Remote Sensing Methods at the Century Border

摘要

Aerospace methods of geologic investigations came to being as visual interpretation of airborne photographic images in the early forties of our century. A qualitativenew stage of the development these methods is characterized by appearance of digital sensing means ranging the whole band of electromagnetic spectrum, computer technologies for processing and integrated analysis of heterogeneous data, started in the eighties. An analysis of contemporary trends of remote sensing methods development and the essence of acquisition, processing and interpretation subsystems of aerospace information allows to clarify prospective trends of development of remote sensing methods for geologic studies in the XXI century.
