摘要

A new position control system with a image processing circuit and a gas supply systemwith feedback control using the H_alpha line intensity as monitor of the plasma density for steady state operation has been developed in TRIAM_1M. This progress has resulted in the achievement of an ultra-long discharge with a duration of 2 h 13 s in 2.45 GHz LHCD experiments and a approx 1 min high density discharge in 8.2 GHz LHCD experiments. Thus, automatic position and gas supply control for the steady state tokamak dischartge could be demosntrated, and steady tokamak operation with reactor grade plasma density by non-inductive current drive would be possible.
