摘要

The AISI 316 austenitic stainless steel has beentested at 5500C in air with different strain rates, R ratio andwith a hold time superimposed. During each test the presenceof a strong hardening effect is generally observed, moremarked at low strain rates and at high strain levels. The fatiguelife is sensibly reduced at very low strain rates and in presenceof a hold time. The Coffin-Manson relationship adequatelydescribes the fatigue life in the different experimental testingconditions. The Ostergren relationship is less accurate andpresents a large scatter.
