Processing of uranium ore on the chemical treatment plant GEAM Dolni Rozinka in the conditions of completely closed technological waters cycle with minimalising of environmental impact

Milling of the uranium ore, mined ot fromthe Rozna deposit, started at the Processing plant o.z.GEAM Dolni Rizinka in 1968. Processing technology isbased on the atmospheric carbonate leaching withuranium separation from pulps by ion-exchange. Uraniumconcentrate containing at minimum 65% of Uranium is thefinal product. The processing plant is situated in aprotected water-source area that requires the closedwater cycle processing technology and minimisation ofnegative influence on the environment.
