Environmental protection in the production of gravel and sand in Croatia

In the paper the extraction andbenefication techniques in some of the biggest plantsof Zagreb environs are represented. Described are theenvironmental protection measures taken during andafter the end of exploitation, as well as possibilitiesfor a preparation of the area for habitation and recreation purposes.
