摘要

To meet demands for improved efficiency in production, stockpiling, processing and loading, intense efforts were made in respect of the mechanization and automation of the new Rothensee Gravel Works, built in 1998 for Kies- und Baustoffwerke Barleben GmbH & Co. KG. An important part in the plant automation is the monitoring and control of the mass flows of raw gravel, gravel and sand. The continuous recording of these mass flows enables their adjustment in accordance with freely definable limit mass flows. An overload of certain plant equipment can therefore be excluded. Downtime and non-optimum utilization of the processing plant are reduced. With the systematic application of modern microprocessor-controlled plant engineering in combination with an efficient computer network, the plant comes very close to achieving the aim of an unmanned loading operation.
