Sulphur inoculation of Mg-treated cast iron-an efficient possibility to control graphite morphology and nucleation ability

摘要

Mg-treated irons were inoculated with Ti, O, Al or S, In ladle or in the mould, and the nucleation and the morphology of the graphite were taken into account. More type of graphite (CG+LG+Degeneratd Nodules Graphite) are associated, without a clear delimitation of the front of solidification under Aluminium, Titanium or Oxygen influence.
