The knowledge structure of computer drawing - the bridge between computer graphics and graphics instruction

This essay attempts at a stratified classification of the knowledge structure of the Computer Drawing course with particular emphasis on knowledge points. It subsequently proposes that the proportion of programming in overall course arrangement should be increased so as to strengthen its link with Graphics Instruction and promote the reform of the latter. Computer Drawing is a major component in modern reform of engineering graphics. It directly follows Descriptive Geometry and Engineering Drawing and precedes CAD Technique and other related professional designs. Therefore, a close study of the knowledge structure of the Computer Drawing course is of substantial significance to the successful execution of Graphics Instruction reform.
