Can hydrocarbon in oil and gas pass through so thick cover strata to arrive at the Earth's surface or near surface, and form anomaly? This question has avowed much controversy for a long time. Now it can be confirmed and supported by modern technology, particularly remote sensing. Hydrocarbon in oil and gas has very strong diachronism. It can engender permeation in cover strata with different density and thickness, though the permeation is a long dynamic process. Hydrocarbon will have influence on the Earth's surface and near surface early or late under the persistent concentration, temperature, pressure and specific gravity difference. It will alter characters of the Earth's surface.
