The set-up and operation of a test rig for measuring the moment-rotation response of beam to column connections between pultruded GRP profiles are described. The rig has been used to test four bolted web and web and flange cleat connections between these profiles. Low load moment - rotation data are presented for each connection and initial rotational stiffnesses are determined. The latter are used to evaluate performance indices (based on shear deformation semi-rigid beam theory) which quantify the reduction in mid-span deflection of uniformly loaded beams when the inherent rotational stiffness of the connection is exploited.
