An advanced, in-line, head-hardening facility hasbeen installed as part of the modernization of PennsylvaniaSteel Technologies Steelton, PA plant for the production ofworld class premium rail. This facility utilizes a sophisticatedwater spray system that is controlled to respond to changes insteel chemistry and rail entry temperature, and provides aproduct that has consistent properties rail after rail.
