'MULTIMEDIA SERVICES - A JAPANESE PERSPECTIVE'

Several B-ISDN experiments are being conducted in Japan BBCC, established in December 1992, is the first Japanese organization to conduct application research and experiments mainly in B-ISDN. At present BBCC has 18 projects available for demonstration. The VI&P experiments of NTT are being conducted in the Tokyo area. There are now 15 projects involving phase 2 experiments that started in 1993. I will introduce selected examples and comment on visual communication on B-ISDN.
