摘要

On the way to understanding how the catalysts work and to design catalysts with pre-defined properties structural studies are of great importance. All the real catalysts are polycrystalline materials with more or less developed, long - range order of their constituent crystalline phases. The process of structural characterisation starts from the identification of phase composition and then follows its changes from the precursor state up to the deactivated ( used ) catalyst. Among the different methods which bring about structural information X-ray Diffraction (XRD ) as inherently sensitive to the spatial distribution and arrangement of diffracting atoms appears the most natural tool for these studies.
