摘要

Seven triticale cultivars were evaluated at four sites in Kenya: Njoro and Kabete (both having moderate rainfall); Naivasha and Katumani (both having low rainfall). Characters measured included the number of days to heading and maturity, plant height, grain yield and yield components. Variation among cultivars was evident for all traits. Selection of cultivars adapted to stressed and non-stressed environments based on mean yields across both environments and stability performance is discussed. The study showed that KTO2-4 and T360 gave the highest mean yields, while the lowest yields were obtained from T359. KTO2-4 proved to be stable across environments, while T359 was the least stable.
