摘要

A commercially-available on-line laser turbidimeter has been estimated with respect to noises due to air and/or CO_2 bubbles in aerobic microbial cultures. A simple, yet reliable statistical data processing computer algorithm has been proposed to smooth the noisy outputs. A feeding strategy of natural complex nutrients involving the smoothed estimated rate of increase in the total dry cell mass in a bioreactor has been successfully developed. High-cell-density cultures of Alteromonas putrefaciens and Bacillus brevis have been achieved by auto-feeding of the natural complex nutrients according to the developed feeding strategy.
