摘要

Serum free or short-time serum free cell culture was one of the most important method for studying cell growth, control and metabolism, especially for the study of growth factors and drugs [1,2,3]. In the study of HGF, we found that short time serum-free culture could stimulate greatly the incorporation of ~8H-TdR of SMMC-7721 cells [4]. This was important for judging the effect of growth factors correctly. But the result was different from that of Zhang [5]in the study of lymphocytes. In order to clarify the effect of short-time serum free on the DNA synthesis, the incorporation of ~8H -TdR of SMMC-7721 cells cultured in RPMI 1640 media containing different concentration of serum or non serum was studied.
