Mutual effects of the inlet air temperature, the combustor pressure and the air fuel ratio in the combustion zone on the NOx emission characteristics were studied experimentally by using a premixed type gas turbine combustor with a gas fuel. The fuel used was the city gas whose main composition in methane. As the inlet air temperature and the combustor pressure are increased, NOx emission increases. The value of NOx emission is proportional to the power of the combustor pressure and the exponential of the inlet air temperature. When the inlet air temperature and the air fuel ratio in the combustion zone are increased, the increasing rate of NOx emission with an increase of the combustor pressure does not change. When the combustor pressure is increased, the increasing rate of NOx emission with an increase of the inlet air temperature does not change. However, as the air fuel ratio in the combustion zone is decreased, the increasing rate of NOx emission with an increase of the inlet air temperature becomes larger.
