The RADIUS Testbed Database: Issues and Design

摘要

The RADIUS Testbed Database is currently under development as part of the Research and Development for Image Understanding Systems project (RADIUS) . While it is not intended to be a complete, operational site model database, the design and implementation of the current RADIUS database has raised significant design issues applicable to more extensive site model databases to be produced in the next few years. This paper explores issues concerning the type of the database management system, geometric data representations and queries, temporal data representations and queries, and managing data distributed across multiple databases. The current design of the RADIUS Testbed Database is described.
