Limitations for CATV distribution by analog optical frequency modulation

摘要

In this paper CATV distribution by analog optical frequency modulation is investigated. The components of the transmission system are presented, followed by a theoretical analysis of the carrier to noise ratio and the nonlinear distortions created in the system. The overall system performance can be predicted by simple formulas.
