This paper mainly describes the flocculation characteristics of the three kinds of metallurgical sludges - -blast furnace sludege, converter sludge and sintering sludge, gives the type, electric property, molecular weight and dosage of their available flocculants and the strength of the flocculated flocs, filtration performance of sludge etc; meanwhile it also introduces the application of the capillary suction time device and the standard laboratory stirrer to the flocculation technology, proportioning of flocculants etc According to the field practice which is directed by the result of the experimental research satisfactory result is achieved.
