Through comparative and experimental research it is proved that when flocculation method is used to dispose of high-alkalinity boiling-off organic waste water, the effect of the inorganic flocculant is better than that of organic flocculants. When the inorganic flocculant is used, we needn't use a large quantity of acid to neutralize the alkali, we can directly dose a certain quantity of ferrous salt or aluminum salt flocculant into the waste water, this not only can regulate the PH value of the waste water this not only can regulate the PH value of the waste water and reduce the density of electric charges of colloids end suspended particles; but also can remove the colloids end suspended materials through stirring and sedinentation actions. Its removal rate of COD and decolorization effect are very good. In the tests the optimum dosage and optimum PH value of various flocculants are also determined.
