This paper discusses the design and implementation of an new interactive graphics NC automatic programming system for optical curve grinding machine. Instead of using NC part programming language, part information describing and NC programmingoperation is completed conveniently by interactive graphics mode. The effective curve profile fitting algorithms is adopted to ensure smooth and high programming accuracy. A example is given to show the application of the system.
