The Perozone process is currently used in Europe for the removal of pesticides from drinking water. This chemistry of process is well known and described in the litterature. However the effect of organic matter has not been as much described as the effect of bicarbonates. The purpose of this study was thus to evaluate the removal of pesticides using the Perozone~(TM) process as a function of the TOC of the water and determine if the point of injection of H202 can be optimized. The different tests performed during this study indicates that organics matter has a noticeable influence on the efficiency of the Perozone~(TM) process and the place of the injection point of hydrogen peroxide can be optimized.
