The conformational changes of poly(dI-dC) in aqueous solution, induced by increasing the NaCl concentration from 0.1 to 5 M and in the presence of Ni$+2$PLU$/ ions, have been studied by resonance Raman spectroscopy. It was shown that: (1) the high salt structure of the polymer is A/B with a predominant A conformation, (2) the addition of 9 mM NiCl$-2$/ in the high salt solution induces the Z-conformation of the polymer, (3) the high salt structure is not a mere intermediate between the B and Z conformations of poly(dI-dC).
