Extreme rotations of the head and frequent rapid hand-arm movements are risk factors for cumulative trauma disorders of the musculoskeletal system of the upper body of the drivers of small fork lift trucks. A new workplace concept for the driver is therefore put forward involving a seat swivel system with a seat back recliner and seat-integrated multifunction control actuators.
