A symmetrical structure consisting of two identical periodic arrays of loaded tripoles embedded in three dielectric slabs is studied. Three cosinusoidal modes are used in expanding the current on a reference tripole. This was found to give results close to those obtained with 15 cosinusoidal modes. Reflection coefficients for the horizontal plane are given for both the orthogonal and parallel polarizations for incident plane and polarization definitions. Similarly, transmission coefficients are given. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of dielectric slabs in the stabilization of resonant frequency and bandwidth. Constant passbands are obtained for both reflection and transmission, which will be useful in reflector designs.
