Hydrogen streams purification with Steam-Iron using Freeze-Casting iron oxides

At present, the main method for hydrogen production is natural gas steam reforming. However, the presence of relatively small quantities of CO_x in the output streams makes impossible its direct application in fuel cells (PEMPC); therefore purification steps (e.g. Pressure Swing Adsorption —PSA-) are still required.
