摘要

The discrete vortex method is a numerical method for simulating time dependent, two-dimensional flows. This method is extended to vibrating bodies in fluid. It is applied to problems in steady flow, flow with transverse perturbation, oscillationin still fluid, and flow-induced vibration to provide a general assessment of its validity and applicability. Direct comparison is made with experimental data.
