Development of an Evaluation Procedure for Assist Wear Devices used in Daily Activities

Despite the numerous applications of assist wear devices, there are no existing procedures to evaluate their performance. We propose a unique evaluation method for assist wear devices that are used in daily activities by using electromyography. The technique demonstrates the effectiveness of the device by calculating the reduced load on the muscles and the assist performance of the device. The proposed evaluation method also allows users to determine the dimensions of the assist wear device suited to their bodies.
