High frequency electronics partial discharge detection needs

Most commercial partial discharge detectors are designed and calibrated for either testing commercial high voltage cables and electrical machinery, or for testing small samples of dielectric gases, liquids and materials. During test, these detectors are directly or indirectly coupled to the test article. These detectors, unless modified, are unsuitable for vacuum testing or testing at frequencies greater than 2 kHz.
