The phase-locked loop (PLL) with complex zeros was shown earlier to offer lowered noise threshold and greater Iinearity.This paper presents the phase plane behavior of this PLL and compares it against the conventional second-order type.Interesting differences are found,especially for parameters which give optimum performance.
